A new ‘BIOS configuration and other settings’ Configuration Profile Template was added in the April updates for Intune. As of this post, Dell is the only supported OEM; however, as you can see below, it states possibly more in the future. I would imagine that if this proves to be as valuable as it sounds, other prominent OEMs would likely be added to the fray (looking at you, Lenovo and HP).

When you create a new profile and select Templates, the new profile for ‘BIOS configuration and other settings’ appears.
I can confirm that Dell is indeed the only option to select currently.
I don’t currently have any Dells to test this on so cannot validate its perceived value however I am excited that Microsoft and OEMs are continuing to work together to make BIOS management an integrated part of the endpoint management experience!
Would love to hear from anyone who has tested or implemented this feature and what their experience was like.
